Impsat contracts capacity on SES NEW SKIES’ NSS-10 Satellite
12 July 2007

The Hague, Netherlands – July12, 2007 – SES NEW SKIES, an SES company (Euronext Paris and Luxembourg Stock Exchange: SESG), today announced that Impsat, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Global Crossing, has contracted 90 MHz (equivalent to approximately 2.5 transponders at 36 MHz) on the company’s NSS-10 satellite at the orbital location of 322.5° East, in order to support Impsat’s growing Single Channel Per Carrier  (SCPC)  and VSAT IP network in Latin America.

SES NEW SKIES’ NSS-10 satellite is a high-performance, state-of-the-art spacecraft launched in 2005. The satellite’s advanced design and high-powered C-band beams are capable of providing service with higher data throughput to smaller antennas, with unsurpassed levels of reliability – even in areas of high rain zones. NSS-10’s high-throughput levels make it an ideal platform to support VSAT and GSM backhaul services.

Impsat is a leading telecommunications services provider offering data, Internet, data center and telephony services throughout Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela and the U.S. The company’s VSAT service provides customers in Latin America and South Florida with high flexibility and unlimited national and international geographical coverage, combined with high quality service and security.   Impsat was acquired by Global Crossing in May 2007 and will operate as Global Crossing Latin America.

”This agreement represents our continuous efforts to seek the most advanced and cost-efficient technology to offer our customers the highest quality in satellite services,” said Héctor Alonso, managing director of Global Crossing Latin America.

Dolores Martos, vice president of sales for Latin America at SES NEW SKIES, states: “SES NEW SKIES values the additional business of Impsat and is confident that the high-power coverage of NSS-10 seamlessly complements the company’s existing capacity on our NSS-7 and NSS-806 satellites. We are pleased to support Impsat’s continued development in its Latin American target markets with reliable, state-of-the-art satellite capacity.”
