New Skies signs new agreement for video distribution services throughout Asia

NSS-6 to serve as high-powered platform for
Asia Times Online’s direct-to-home TV service

SINGAPORE, June 14, 2005 – New Skies Satellites (NYSE: NSE), the global satellite communications company, today announced that it signed a significant new agreement with Hong Kong-based Asia Times Online to deliver direct-to-home television in Southeast Asia via the NSS-6 satellite.

Asia Times Online, a leading Internet news portal, has dramatically expanded its service on New Skies’ NSS-6 Southeast Asia beam to support its growing regional direct-to-home television service.  With a comprehensive bouquet of news, educational, travel and entertainment channels catering to the Southeast Asia market, Asia Times Online is well positioned to capture a large subscriber base in the region.
