THE HAGUE, Netherlands, October 7, 2003 – New Skies Satellites N.V. (AEX, NYSE: NSK), the global satellite communications company, today announced it has named Max Chung as the company’s new sales director for North Asia.
Based in Hong Kong, Chung oversees the sale of New Skies’ satellite capacity and associated value-added services to broadcasters, telecommunications companies, corporate enterprise customers and Internet service providers. His region of responsibility includes Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and Macau. Chung will report to Maurice Liu, New Skies’ vice president of Asia-Pacific sales.
Chung joins New Skies from Pacific Century Matrix in Hong Kong, where he worked as regional sales director, specialized in developing digital video services for customers from the North Asia and U.S. markets. He also held various sales and strategic marketing positions at AsiaSat, Cathay Pacific, and Federal Express.
