THE HAGUE, Netherlands, February 8, 2005 – New Skies Satellites B.V., the global satellite communications company, today announced that it is seeking an amendment to its existing credit facilities via Deutsche Bank. The amendment is being sought in connection with the proposed initial public offering of New Skies Satellites Holdings Ltd., its indirect parent company, and will seek, among other changes, an increase in the size of the revolving credit facility, new financial covenant levels and a reduction in pricing on the facilities.

A registration statement relating to the initial public offering of New Skies Satellites Holdings Ltd.’s securities has been filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective. These securities may not be sold nor may offers to buy be accepted prior to the time the registration statement becomes effective.
